Fairfield has five beaches: Penfield Beach, Jennings Beach, Sasco Beach, Southport Beach, and South Pine Creek Beach. Jennings Beach is home to South Benson Marina and the town skate park. Penfield boasts the Penfield Pavilion, the Jacky Durrell Pavilion, and the newly-constructed Jessica Rekos Memorial Playground, one of 26 playgrounds built to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre. Ye Yacht Yard also provides boat launch services to residents and access to moorings in Southport Harbor as well as 25 Kayak racks are available. The first marked route is now completed: Mill Plain Road and Unquowa Road, from Brookside Road to the Post Road. Fairfield is also installing bicycle parking at popular destinations and the train station. View the planned bicycle rack locations here.
